In 2006 Council acknowledged climate change. They setup a Lord Mayor’s task force into climate change and an outcome of that was the 2 million tree programme. As a result of the task force Council acquired a dairy property at Upper Kedron and started planting. The planting continues this May so save the date in your calendars and join the festival. Watch the Video.

Come along and help plant 1850 trees and shrubs, enjoy food  and beverage trucks, kids entertainment, educational displays,  live entertainment, giant games, tree planting activities  (free native plants for participating planters).
