Ashgrove Meals on Wheels is a community based, not-for-profit meal service providing delicious, fresh and nutritious meals to people with a wide variety of support needs, not just meals for seniors. People may be; in their senior years, recovering after hospitalisation, a major illness or surgery, a person with a disability, a carer, or needing assistance due to a special circumstance. Ashgrove Meals on Wheels offer much more than just a meal by providing a daily visit to monitor the health and well being of the clients who may not see anyone else during the day. We deliver on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays during the morning and clients need to be home to receive their meal or have a fridge available for the delivery driver to access. We can cater for most dietary requirements, as well as likes and dislikes. There is no lock in contract and no minimum number of meals required. All volunteers and staff are following standard food safety procedures and good hand hygiene. Our volunteers will maintain social distancing when delivering meals.
